How To Order
We’ve mentioned this on our social media and in our newsletters, but because of the major changes in the industry lately, we’ve had to make some changes ourselves.
While the industry is still experiencing some shipping delays, our shipments are not being affected by the distributor shutdown, with the exception of titles from DSTLRY, Zenoscope, Boom, and Dynamite who are all still exclusively available from that distributor and are running a few days behind our normal shipments. We will post to our Facebook/Instagram pages when we get these shipments in!
Our new order form system, ngcpulls.com, is replacing our old former system because of the issues with the distributor shutting down. Their database systems are no longer reliable, and we have launched a site that has simpler features but is much more user-friendly in our opinion. We're still working on adding a few features to the new site as we're manually creating the entire site and adding listings from scratch, but the March and April pre-order catalogs are now LIVE. Moving forward, you will be able to order books through that site up to three months ahead of time.
You will be able to manage your subscriptions on the site under an account you create at login, and you can view that subscription list by clicking the link in your email once you submit your subscriptions orders you've added to your cart. If you subscribe to a cover A, you'll receive that same cover for that entire series run. Any titles you add to your cart without subscribing to them will be one time add-ons, which is a great option for adding additional variants or ordering trade paperback collections. Any orders placed under the old system have been saved and transferred to our order systems through our new distributor, but you will not be able to see your old orders on this site. The orders on the old site will still be honored and pulled, but we encourage you to place new orders on this site even if you think you’ve ordered a book before as a backup because of the old distributor’s faulty data. We know this was a sudden change for you all as it was for us, and we sincerely thank you all for bearing with us while we adjusted to these changes too!
The orders you placed in our old order form system have been transferred to our order form lists with the new distributors so you do not have to re-enter those lists, but we encourage you to scroll through the site and place an order if you would like to add any additional covers or titles to your list. Please note: April orders must be placed by subscribers. All sub box numbers and other information remains the same and will be added on our end.
Books will be paid for either in-store on or after release date or an invoice will be sent on release date for books ordered through that system. You will see a checkout screen with a gross total once you place all the items you want to pre-order/subscribe to in your cart, but you will not be charged until pick-up/shipping after release date, which will happen via invoice or at the register in-store based on what you’ve chosen to do. Thank you to everyone again as we navigated the wild series of events with the distributors the past few months. New Book Days are still our favorite day of the week, and besides the few titles from Dynamite, Boom, Titan, and DSTLRY, all orders are pulled and ready for you to pick-up first thing on New Book Day as usual.
How to use NGC Pulls
The new website is https://ngcpulls.com
Once you go to the website, you’ll be taken to the main screen. From there you can choose to either submit a weekly order on our order forms checklist, or view and submit orders using the catalogs. The catalog feature is what is ultimately replacing our old subscriptions management software. You will have the ability to create an account to view orders you’ve placed, and you will also be sent an email with your order history once you’ve submitted an order.
When you are ready to add titles to your
pull list, choose which month you'd like
to view and select titles from. This is essentially the same thing as the previews catalogs, which were printed by the distributor that is closing and as far as we have been notified, these will not be printed anymore.
Once you click on a catalog, you’ll be taken to a screen with the different titles, covers, trade paperbacks, etc available to order. There are two options to choose from:

If you subscribe to a title, we will pull that title every time it is released, whether it is a monthly, weekly, or bi-weekly title. You do not have to select this option each month to have it pulled.

If you add a title to your cart as a one-time purchase then we will only pull that book or cover when it is released. This is a good option if you subscribe to a series normally but want to add a cover to your pull-box on top of the cover you subscribe to. If you do not want to subscribe to a series or want to be able to pick and choose different covers monthly, you can just select the titles and covers you want pulled for you this way.
Once you are done selecting your titles, you can submit your order by going to “checkout” your cart. You will not be charged for anything at this time. You will pay for these titles as they are released and your orders are pulled. You can select to have items shipped as they are received or choose which of our store locations from which you would like to pick-up the books.
Under the account portion of the checkout screen, you can create an account where you can view all your orders moving forward.
You will also be emailed a link to view your subscriptions , and from here you can pause or cancel any titles you are subscribed to. Any other edits to your orders or lists will need to be emailed to orders@gatewaycomicsandtoys.com after they are submitted.
There are several features we are going to add in the coming weeks to the site, such as an option to add things to a wishlist, updated covers as they are posted by publishers, and the ability to search and order by release week. We’re building this system from scratch as we go, and with the daily new updates from publishers and distributors we’ve had to make some adjustments to the features we’ve been adding. We’ll keep posting on our facebook page and in our newsletter as new features are added.
